Imagina, a project, exhibition and catalogue, made up the first photographic fund of the Andalusian Centre of Photography. The photo collection —a young collection as far as time is concerned (it was created in 1992)— was gathered from donations, temporary cessions, acquisitions and own productions.
This collection reflects the most wide-ranging, historic and contemporary aspects where the photographic medium is present. Following the editorial line of Imagina, most of the funds are accompanied with books-catalogues where the images and texts of each production are gathered.
The Andalusian Centre of Photography’s collection covers hundreds of artists including:
William Ropp, Ferdinando Scianna, Ouka Leele, Bernard Plossu, Terry Braunstein, Martin Parr, Arno Fischer, Françoise Núñez, John Vink, Claude Nori, Mimmo Jodice, Krzysztof Pruszkowski, Martine Franck, Max Pam, Jorge Rueda, René Burri, Cristina García Rodero, Evgen Bavcar, Douglas Keats, Abbas, Michel Szulc-Krzyzanowski, Ilan Wolff, Sybille Bergemann, Jordi Guillumet, Josep Vicent Monzó, Carlos Pérez Siquier, Gabriel Cualladó, Graciela Iturbide, Toni Catany, William Klein, Manuel Falces, Roland Laboye, Sarah Moon, Jean Larivière, Ricardo Martín, Miguel Nauguet, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Francisco Gómez, Ramón Masats, Oriol Maspons, Xavier Miserachs, Francisco Ontañón, Alberto Schommer, Ricardo Terré, José Manuel Miralles and many more.
